Several major weather systems are forecast to impact Tornado Alley this week, and possibly next week. This would put a quick end to the tornado drought of 2010.
Warren Faidley, acting director of NASCAS says some of the systems pose a significant threat, with the possibility of strong tornadoes. Faidley notes, “It’s been a quiet spring so far, but I think things will change in the next 10 days. People in the severe weather regions of the US need to be on guard.”
